Beginning August 6, Humanities New York and Queens Public Library invite the Ridgewood community to explore questions like this through The Future of Democracy: Conflict, Disagreement, and Civic Life, a free, three-part conversation series at Ridgewood Library.

The opening conversation on August 6, Can We Disagree Without Falling Apart?, begins with Robert Frost's Mending Wall. Participants will explore what holds communities together when people disagree, and whether boundaries always separate as much as they protect.

Queens Public Library and Humanities New York invite you to join a three-part conversation series exploring disagreement, free expression, and dissent in civic life. Each session begins with a short reading or image and opens into a guided discussion. Participants are invited to bring their own experiences and perspectives as we explore some of the questions shaping democratic life today. Light refreshments sponsored by the Friends of Ridgewood.
